"Gone"
"Forgotten"
Hey East Coast fans, I've going to have two pieces on display next week at Bottleneck Gallery's "When the Lights Go Out" Black-Light/Glow-in-the-Dark themed group show. The show opens Friday April 12th at 7PM, and if you're in the New York area I highly suggest you check it out.
Here's a little preview of my pieces under Black Light (sorry for the poor quality).
I was really looking to create something along the lines of those old-school psychedelic black light posters, so I kept myself to solid florescent colors and black dry-brushed shading. The effect is pretty awesome in person. Plus, I primed the pieces entirely in Glow-in-the-Dark paint so the paintings glow in color when the lights go out, no black-light needed.
Seriously, check out this show if you get a chance.
Also, for my LA fans, I've got a piece on display this Saturday at The Hive for their Eight Anniversary "Best of the Hive" show. Be sure to stop by and check it out, the work I saw at the drop off was phenomenal.

Wonderful to discover you on my weekend visit to NYC, Mike! Your pieces were my fave of the lights out show. :) Love your work!
